Good Things I Have Learned Recently

I garner a lot of information from reading trade magazines, taking notes during my radio shows and attending the annual Reverse Trade Show. My IFDA group holds this yearly event where vendors go table to table of designers to show their new wares and unique services.

Here are some of my favorites:
Ashton Harris of Shades of Light states that the proper lighting for reading as you sit in a chair is to make sure th bottom of the lamp shade is even with your eye level. Solar Film on your windows greatly reduces fading and filters 99% of UV rays.

Marybeth Momcholov from Marva Marble taught us that a good indicator for when you need to seal your granite surface is when a drop of water no longer beads up on the surface. She said it is an easy process.

Seth Woods of Woods’ Refinishing filled us in on his work with furniture design that he can create according to what you need- good to know.

Mary Fout of Fergusons showed up beautiful, contemporary touchless faucets for the home. That is a great boon. I could go on and on. There is always something to learn so I can better serve my clients.
