Be Prepared – Be Safe

Sandi Vipperman, over at Napier ERA Realty has come up with a “Basic Disaster Supply Kit” with items she recommends that we all should have on hand for weather related emergencies. They are:

  • Water, one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days for drinking and sanitation
  • Food, at least a three day supply of non-perishable food
  • Battery-powered or hand crank radio/ NOAA Weather Radio
  • Flashlight with extra batteries and cell phones with solar chargers
  • First aid kit, moist towelettes, garbage bags and duct tape.
  • Wrench to turn off utilities and manual can opener for food
